If you’re a High School Junior looking for
a leadership training opportunity in a safe, fun environment that
involves travel and community service, then Camp Taconic’s
Leadership in Training program is for you.
L.I.T's
at Camp Taconic experience
the best of both worlds. As assistants, they are paid a stipend
and have days off. As campers, they are encouraged to participate
in inter camp competitions, and have time each day to take advantage
of camp activities.
Under the supervision of Head Counselors, L.I.T's
duties include:
- assisting instructors and counselors with
activities.
- assisting in coordinating
intercamp tournaments
- taking part in evening activities at
camp
- performing community service for a nearby town
or organization
- a four night caravan trip with the L.I.T. group
- and
much, much more!
